'everyday' makeup routine 2024!

I can't believe how quickly these posts come around now. We're nearly at the end of 2024... HOW?! This year I've worn makeup a lot more than last year! The first half of the year I wore it pretty regularly but the second half saw the return of the stress spots (I haven't had spots like that in YEARS! Since my mid teens!) so I let my skin breathe for a few months whilst they cleared up. So yeah, the following look is what I'd wear often in early to mid '24.

For the best face base, I always always use the rare beauty illuminating primer. This year I've been absolutely loving the Elemis Marine Cream in Rose to moisturise!

I haven't worn foundation this year unless it's some sort of event like a birthday dinner or Christmas party. So straight to concealer which is of course still my Rare Beauty liquid touch concealer. This sits so naturally on my skin whilst also giving the perfect amount of coverage. Having a concealer that not only sits nicely on top of foundation but also doesn't look out of place without is essential for me now!

I haven't actually set my makeup at all for years. I find my Rare Beauty base products stay well all day without the help of powders and sprays. And I'd hate to ruin the finish as is looks so natural and fresh! Anyway, onto my favourite step- Rare Beauty blush! On the top of my cheekbones and a tiny bit on the nose.

Today, I used a new one (shade 'Trust', on the right) but the shade I've actually used most this year is 'Virtue', which is the one on the left!

Same old for my brows- love both my Zoeva brush and the Rare Beauty Brow Harmony kit. I do still miss the discontinued Brow Harmony Pencil and Gel, I know a lot of people didn't think it was precise enough for drawing on brows, but for me (I just fill in a couple gaps in mine) it was perfect. So useful having the gel on the other end as well... and the gel was the best gel I've ever used!

I actually got this mascara out of a Kylie Cosmetics vending machine in Florida! It's my absolute favourite and I've used nothing else since. This year, for my day to day makeup, I've just been putting mascara on the outer ends of my lashes for a subtle fluttery effect!

And it looks a little something like this

I never do my makeup without using lip liner anymore- even when I don't wear lipstick!

But I will be using my Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick (shade Autumn) today as I've been wearing these soooo much this year. They last all day, I adore the way they make my lips look and I don't find their new formula too drying at all! Built up a small collection of these this year, actually.

I actually said in last years post how it was painful to admit I was no longer a casual lipstick wearer (my love for lipstick had been slowly dying for years) and I'm so happy to say it came back with a BANG this year thanks to Kylie Cosmetics and their formulas that actually wear well throughout a working day without the chance for touch ups.

And that's it!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you've enjoyed this year's update and little look inside my everyday makeup bag! I wonder what will change and what will stay the same in 25. I would say I'm excited to find out, but I can't imagine ditching any of these products anytime soon!

Hope you're enjoying the last little bit of 24. As usual, I will link all the past versions of this post below incase you're curious!

E. :)
