'Everyday' Makeup Routine '21

Hello hello hello. I haven’t done one of these in…. actually have I ever done one of these? I remember doing one in lockdown 2020 and never posting it, and honestly even in a YEAR I feel I’ve changed so much. That’s one of two reasons why I’m doing this post: 1. I love seeing how myself and my makeup routine has grown and evolved 2. I personally find it really useful seeing the products people love and trust so much they use them every single time they wear makeup. Right, I’ll shut up now and begin

My current foundation is NYX Bare With Me Skin Veil as my best friend uses it and recommended it to me. I stole this one from my sister because it was too pale for her (shade pale light) and I absolutely love using something so light coverage with a natural finish now my skin is good. & then the same old lasting perfection concealer hahaha.

I’ve used this Kylie Cosmetics Act Natural Bronzer Stick since the day I got it in spring 2020. The shade is PERFECT for my face and it blends effortlessly into any base. Unfortunately KC don’t sell it anymore and I won’t lie, I am a little heartbroken.

I set with my Matte Base Powder from Revolution- not particularly special but it’s cheap and does what it needs to.

For eyes I force the last bits of ink out of my nearly dried up Supercat Liner (these days I do a wing and only bring the liner halfway across my eye because I am ~lazy~) and curl my lashes with some center parcs spa lash curlers (lol) before putting on Revolution’s Wispy Lash Mascara. This is ALSO dried out to be honest… but she was great in her day!

I use just a brown eyeshadow to run through my brows (today I used the shade brownie from the Soph Extra Spice palette ) but honestly the real hero of my brow routine is the brush. It’s the Zoeva Brow Line brush in rose gold. It’s so firm and thin, holding its shape so well but still dense enough to pack pigment on when needed. It also does a great job of evenly dispersing the colour throughout the brows. It’s something I recommend to everyone! Then I fluff out just the very fronts of my brows with my mini Benefit Brow Gel.

Of course lips to finish, another discontinued Kylie Cosmetics item that is an absolute fave 🙁 It’s called the sister sister lip kit and I’m PRAYING she will bring it back because it makes my lips look way better than they actually are. It’s a ‘lip blush’ and I absolutely love the finish and feel.
