Get Ready With Me to see Barbie!

Hi Barbie! I can't tell you how excited I've been to go and see Barbie since the first time I discovered the films existence. Is it going to be the power strong enough to make me wear a full face of makeup for the first time since May? Absolutely.

I'll briefly talk you through what I did to get ready to this point here: Pulled out all of my pink items of clothing (there are a LOT), made a mess of my room and had a mini melt down over what to wear because I don't do well with too much choice, decided to just do my hair first instead, used the Dyson airwrap straightening head on half of it and then realised I was running late so left the bottom layer of my hair to air dry resulting in an odd wavy/straight/curly mix, found a pink headband in the middle of the clutter on my desk and BOOM, an outfit finally came together in my head. (Outfit details later on in the post)

Face/makeup time! I prepped my face by washing it with some Elemis face wash (don't tell my mum, it's hers) and then putting on some of my favourite moisturiser at the moment. I just love how thin this is and how quickly in sinks into the skin, making it perfect for applying just before makeup.

If you've read any of my old makeup blog posts, you might know that my old ride or die primer was the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Primer, and to my horror, it was discontinued a couple of years ago. I honestly didn't think I'd find love again, and right when I least expected it, a rare beauty freebie came with one of my Foundations and I fell. hard. Simply cannot stand even looking at any other primer now.

I apply it everywhere because I just love the glow it gives my otherwise dry skin.

Camera doesn't do it justice but :D If you're a no makeup makeup wearer, this is such a complimentary base to wear on it's own.

Anyway, Barbie is a full face occasion. I used the Rare Beauty liquid touch concealer and foundation and also their foundation brush.

This is how much I apply (foundation) and where, for those who may find this useful- I'm well aware that the hardest thing when getting to know Rare Beauty products is working out the amount to apply!

Messed up with my timer cam and only got this shot of me contemplating which shade of Rare Beauty's Soft Pinch Liquid Blush to go for loool.

I chose the shade Hope!

Eyes and eyebrows! Oh my god, more Rare Beauty! I didn't even realise it dominated my makeup routine so heavily until now, but honestly even my old favourites don't come close.

I used the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes mascara. I much prefer a lighter lash look, so this doesn't showcase this mascaras full potential by any means. This is just my preference!

For my brows I used the Brow Harmony Shape and Fill Duo & the gel from the Brow Harmony Pencil. I don't know why I'm doing this face, guess I was just feeling silly :p

Then for my lipstick I mixed a no7 lipstick called Deep Rose and one of my classic favourite liquid lips, Queen B by Too Faced. Weird combo consistency wise and colour wise but somehow, it worked. Luck, not genius, I am afraid.
