Ranking Midnights (in full) After One Year

Welcome to the final instalment in my Midnights ranking series! So far I've done Ranking Midnights Based on Track Titles before I heard it and Ranking Midnights on First Listen so it only felt right to give a more complete ranking now all the songs are out and exactly a year has passed since release day. I think my ranking will have changed quite a lot, but I'm not letting myself check my old posts until after I've finished writing this one!

9. Sweet Nothing

10. You're Losing me

11. Lavender Haze

12. Labyrinth

13. The Great War

14. Bigger Than The Whole Sky

15. Vigilante Shit

16. Bejeweled

17. Question...?

18. Paris

20. You're On Your Own, Kid

21. Snow On The Beach (feat. Lana Del Rey)

22. Midnight Rain

23. Mastermind

24. Karma (feat. Ice Spice)

This was so difficult! Obviously, now I've lived with these songs for a whole year, my ranking is much more about the connection I've built with them and what they mean to me rather than what I objectively thought on first listen. I actually found my top 10 the easiest bit to do, as the highs of Midnights are real highs, but the bit I found tricky was ordering 13 onwards, as these are the songs I'm just not listening to at the moment. In some cases, songs fell this low because I overplayed them so much when Midnights originally came out, others are just ones I don't find myself playing much. Snow On The Beach ft Lana is simply down there at 21 because the More Lana version is so superior I don't need the old one anymore. Karma ft Ice Spice is the only song on this list that I actually don't like. Considering there are 24 songs (like hours in the day, she's genius), I'd say that's pretty amazing. Comment below your favourite from Midnights (all versions), I'd love to talk Taylor with you!
