Pack with Me!

Okay so I hate packing. it's one of my least favourite things and I very rarely can pack for anything without having some sort of emotional breakdown! fun! I'm going away with my family tomorrow and I've still not made a start on the dreaded task, but I figured if I turn it into a blog post it might motivate me! I'll let you know if this idea actually helped at the end of the post... wish me luck!

I'm going to start with my smaller bag, which is not for clothes but for everything else hahaha. I'm using my faaave travel bag which is from Cath Kidston years ago. Makeup is usually the thing I end up packing last as I'm using it right up until the morning I leave, but lately I've hardly been wearing any makeup at all! I packed it days ago now, ready to pop into my bag right away! I imagine I will wear some on holiday, especially when me and Iestyn go for a date night as I enjoy the self care feel of getting glammed up for an evening out. It's nice to make the effort.

I think I'm gonna pop some YouTube on my telly as well so I'm not too over consumed in the packing process and feel more chilled out.

Other random things I'm popping into this bag are a couple eye masks, sleep spray, phone charger, headphones, laptop charger, our instax, extra instax film, underwater phone case, hair brush and a headband (for keeping my hair out my face when I do my makeup)

Skincare time! My bag is a soap and glory, from a set Esme got me years ago! The perfect size for full sized products and I love the compartments.

and these are the products ive decided to take with me! A lot of Little Mix here which was accidental hahahah. I found this LM body spray the other day and oh my goodness does it make me nostalgic! It's the scent I wore all the time when I was 16/17 and me and Iestyn were first getting together! I'm loving the happy memories wearing this brings back. 🥰

Bag one done, now onto clothes!

Now this might make me sound like a big of a nut, but I consider myself to be a bit of a pants fanatic. I'm so fussy about fit, thanks to my hips to waist ratio making most shop bought pants a no for me, and comfort is a massive thing for me too. So when I say these pants curve and comfort approved, I really mean it! I pack my undies in these adorable little Cath kidston (I see a theme here..) zip bags to keep them neat and separate. I also take an empty one for dirty underwear to go in throughout the week to avoid any confusion!

I'm not sure if this is normal or not but I have specific sleep underwear. I only wear pants and an oversized tshirt to bed (literally cannot sleep in pj trousers!! Does anyone?!) so I love full coverage, cotton undies. Left to right I'm taking Cotton Rib Brief (mid rise) in Camel, Cotton Rib brief (high waisted) in rose clay, Cotton Rib Boxer in Brick and the Sleep Brief in cocoa. These are all my faves.

For day time undies I've gone for my fits everybody dipped thongs, boy shorts and high wasted pants, as well as my cotton dipped thong! I've chosen these as not only are they crazy comfortable for whatever activities we get up to, but they also look good and seamless underneath anything due to the minimal coverage. Easy holiday undies you can rely on. For bras I just packed one padded, one bralette then 5 pairs of trainer socks!

Now onto holiday outfits! I've got outfits for each day (sometimes extra for meals out etc) planned out already so I just need to sort them into piles and pack them straight in!

Then some comfy extras

of course, can't forget my swimsuits

and I'm done with bag two!

The final thing to get ready tonight is my swimbag! I use my fjallraven kanken with rainbow straps! I'm packing my towel, lip balm, sunnies and disposable camera! I love taking disposables on holiday :)

Final bag done!

The last thing I'll be packing is the laptop I'm writing this post on now! So I better finish up this post and be done with it!
Thank you for keeping me company whilst I tried turning something stressful into something organised and mindful. It really did help me, along with putting on nice videos and music in the background and not leaving it to the very last minute! 10/10 would recommend those things hahahaha. Probably just common sense if you're not me, though.

See you when I'm home!
