Valentines Gift Guide

Welcome to my first ever Valentines day gift guide! Whether you're gifting for a partner, friend or yourself, I hope you find some inspo on this list! I'm going to be creating this list based on my own preferences so if you feel you don't have much in common with me and my interests, this might not be the list for you! I'm not going to attempt to cater to everyone in this post as I wouldn't even know where to begin and there are so many other amazing gift guides out there to assist you where I fall short!

Q&A A DAY: 5 YEAR JOURNAL

I think this is a lush gift for any occasion, and a really lovely thing to gift yourself. There's a daily question and every year for 5 years you go back and answer it. I'm currently on my 4th year of answering them and it is so interesting to see the change and growth in my answers. A really fun diary.

SKIMS

This years skims valentines range is gorgeous. It's mostly their bestsellers but in new pink shades, which I personally think makes for a perfect valentine gift. My top recommendations would be either the fits everybody underwear pieces (any of them, the material is like nothing I've ever worn before!) or the love to lounge pieces. They are the softest, comfiest loungewear items I own! For some, undies & PJs are classic vday go to gifts but what makes these selections stand out are the amazing quality, inclusivity to all body shapes and general comfort and fit. No one does it like Skims! I myself picked up the soft lounge boxer in the new colour way and cannot wait til they arrive.

My Top Picks:

The Fits Everybody triangle bra (I wear this in the shade 'sand' most days!)

With the matching bottoms (which come in a variety of styles)

Or my personal favourite, the soft lounge tank

with the popular soft lounge boxer (so glad I've bought myself a pair of these)

CHAMPAGNE & ROSES HEART CANDLE

This candle is gorgeous and perfect for valentines!

CUDDLY TOYS

If you're going for the classic gift combo of a cuddly toy with flowers or chocolates, I'm telling you now to get a squishmallow! Soooo cute and the cuddliest of cuddly toys.

My Top Picks:

The cutest cow ever :') will look adorable on your bed

If you're looking for some pink then I think this owl is super cute! There are so many other options over on the smyths website as well.

VASES FOR YOUR VALENTINES BOUQUET

Flowers are always a lovely thing to receive, but if you're looking to make your gift more, putting the flowers into a pretty new vase gives the receiver something they can hold onto long after the flowers have passed their best. I'm a sentimental person and love having gifts I can treasure, so I love to do this.

My Top Picks:

As you can see for yourself this is a cute mini bee jug (with a matching mug available if you'd like to use as intended and gift the set) but also the perfect mini vase for things like small,  hand picked bouquets from your garden etc. I also think mini jugs like this look so pretty with gypsophila in (my personal fave)!

Personalised Emma Bridgewater Large Milk Bottle Vase

RARE BEAUTY

This month Rare beauty launched in the UK! I picked up a full face of it on launch day and it is so. good. The quality of their products are top tier, honestly in my opinion some of the best makeup out there right now. It's also visually gorgeous, making it incredibly giftable.

My Top Picks:

The pretty, pink-packaged 'Stay Vulnerable' collection is an obvious Valentines pick. It includes a creme eyeshadow, glossy balm and blush all in the same shade which ties a look together so effortlessly. There are multiple shades to choose from but to keep with the valentines theme, I went with 'nearly rose' ;)

PAMPER HAMPERS

You can't go wrong with a self care box, filled with everything you need for a Self-Care Sunday ;)
These are the perfect gifts for partners, friends, family, yourself- anyone who needs a pick me up or for special occasions like... valentines day! Receiving a pamper box always makes me feel looked after and loved.

My Top Pick:

I absolutely love this box because not only does it include multiple handmade products (including handmade organic cotton makeup removers & flannel!!!) but it's also flexible with what you can include, which I find so useful. With this box you can take out certain items you don't need and add in more of what the receiver would use and love the most! You can tell these boxes are put together with thought. I'm doubtful you'll want to take many, if anything, out of this box though, as the selection of treats happens to be the perfect ingredients for a pamper night in. My Favourite items included are: the handmade wax melts and bath bombs, a rose quartz heart and the pukka organic love tea bag (one of my go to herbal teas)! And this box is still so affordable!

EAST OF INDIA GIFTS

These products are so simple and beautiful! Something I'd always love to receive, little trinket dishes, coasters, ornaments that can hold a lot of meaning coming from a loved one. These are also incredibly well priced.

My Top Picks:

Trinket dish

Little dog trinket pot (I love the quote on the box)

Coaster

Matchbox Bee - they have a whole range of these and it was so hard to pick a favourite! I love them so much. Tiny boxes of happiness

EMPOWERING POETRY

For me personally, you cannot beat the gift of poetry. Gifting someone a book that you've loved and lived by is a great thing to pass on & pretty priceless. Some of the best gifts I've ever been given have been self help and poetry books that my friends swore by and now I do too!

My Top Picks:

I'd recommend any book by Nikita Gill, but I picked this one as gifting a woman in your life a book about other strong goddesses can help us all feel empowered this valentines and a good reminder that Self love is the most important type of love!

The poetry pharmacy is a poetry self help book. A poem of reassurance and understanding for every problem listed. Potentially my favourite read of 2021 and a book I recommend to so many people. An amazing thing to treat yourself to this valentines if you're going through it in any way, or if you simply love poetry.. because it's great! This book really felt like a friend to me when I needed one.

LUSH

My Top Pick:

I know this seems a very obvious option for Valentines and something a lot of people already get but this year they've got a set I feel fits onto this list very well; the Self Love Club! It's one of the cheaper options from their gift box ranges and every single bath product included, I love! The fact it comes with a badge set & the box is covered in self love phrases is what makes it stand out from the other valentines pieces. It's all about you

FRAMED PICS

Another classic- I personally can never get enough of getting photo gifts from loved ones. So sentimental and lovely to be able to display it in your home and always remember the happy memory from the picture and the happy memories from the day it was gifted to you or the person it was gifted from! Always good to update the pictures you have around from time to time as well!

My Top Pick:

I absolutely love this personalised, framed 'film reel'. You can select the amount of strips and whether you would like the frame included etc. It's also nice that you can have a collection of photos instead of just one. Love :)

SWEET TREATS

My Top Pick:

Last year me and Iestyn had the valentines limited edition Krispy kremes and they were extremely tasty and extremely cute. The same ones are back this year!

And that concludes my very first Valentines Gift Guide! I've had a lot of fun putting this together whilst watching Taylor Swift's reputation tour film on Netflix (so good). It's been lovely and easy as I've been either including things I have and love or things on my own wishlists hahaha. I hope you've enjoyed reading this and it's given you some inspiration or at least a nice 5 minute read. I hope you all have a nice feb 14th whatever you are doing and I'll see you soon!
